Family Therapy

Clients who are experiencing chaotic or isolated home lives, feel they are always in crisis and out of control in their homes and with their family, don't feel love in their homes, don't feel a sense of cohesiveness and "relationship", who are having difficulties raising their children, or have conflicted family relationships seek our Family Therapy (FT) Services. These families are finding it hard to tolerate their home environment or familial relationships. Family members are in conflict with one another, and one or more family members may be experiencing personal symptoms and having a difficult time managing themselves.


The treatment and approach assist the client (family system or subsystems) view their situation in context giving them a different perspective of their situation and therefore allowing them to approach their situation from a different perspective achieving different and satisfying results. The work assists the families understand why they are operating as they are, why symptoms manifest, how they create dissatisfying dynamics that keeps them stuck and recreating the same situations over an over, how to reorganize themselves in relation to one another, how change their dynamic and relieve symptoms, and gives them tools and skills to create a cohesive, respectful, supportive, nurturing, and loving family.


Children issues are addressed within the FT scope and Play Therapy is employed to reach and assist the youngest children.


We work with families with two-parents, a single-parent, dual career parents, separated parents, divorced parents, remarried parents, foster/adoptive parents, surrogate parents and any other combination - families now a days are very creative on how they organize themselves and we welcome all of them.
