The Practice was founded by Emma K. Viglucci, LMFT, CIT, CFT in the year 2000. We work with highly committed, positive, personal development minded couples and intimate partners who want to improve their relationship and their life. We specialize in helping busy professional and entrepreneur couples create a successful relationship and meaningful life with work flowing from Ms. Viglucci’s MetroRelationship™ Philosophy.
We serve our clients through our Clinical Team that is carefully selected and closely supervised by Ms. Viglucci to ensure we deliver the highest quality of services that are in line with our overall Philosophy. Our Team is dedicated to assisting couples succeed at their relationship!

Our History
Emma K. Viglucci, CFT, LMFT, CIT started the psychotherapy practice founding Metropolitan Wellness Services, Inc. in 2000 in an effort to provide Mental Health Services to high functioning clients from a positive and strength focused approach. It catered to individuals wishing to enhance their life and relationships without the stigma associated with “going for therapy”.
Ms. Viglucci created the MetroRelationship™ philosophy (previously known as MetroWellnez™) to serve her clients. She continues to write the weekly newsletter Successful Couples™, launched in February 2001, and has since developed the Successful Couple Strategy™ to help clients transform their relationship.
As the practice grew and Ms. Viglucci continued her professional growth and clinical development, she expanded her practice to include Clinical Supervision with the intention of assisting up-and-coming therapists develop clinical skills and professional growth including establishing a sound clinical practice. Later, Ms. Viglucci expanded the practice further by creating and developing a Clinical Team enabling the practice to serve more clients. From 2006 – 2008, Ms. Viglucci’s husband, Peter J. Viglucci, joined the practice to share his techno and business genius. He automated internal administrative and communication systems, redesigned the practice’s website, and managed its online presence. He remains our techno guru and business advisor on an as needed basis.
In 2007, due to MFT licensing laws, the practice was moved to operate under our current name, Metropolitan Marriage & Family Therapy, PLLC (Metropolitan MFT), and Metropolitan Wellness Services, Inc. remained as a Practice Management entity until 2009. The practice continues to thrive serving couples and intimate partners in creating their successful relationship and meaningful life.
Metropolitan MFT and its staff are known for their professionalism, transformational programs, and exceptional client experience. We are a lifelong family to our clients.
